Snap! I have two 4TB mirrored. I also have had USB drives die and they are completely non-recoverable! Luckily I lost nothing as they weren't the primary source of my data.Agreed. Buying one of these devices for my purposes means buying 2 or just treating them as a temporary medium to move files around. For files that I can't keep on my main laptop, I have two 4tb HDs that are mirrored.without backup, you can be 100% sure to kiss your data goodbye some day.
I learnt to backup early on, when I accidentally overwritten my external drive when trying out Synkron data backup software ironically! So now I have four backups of my apps on different devices.
