Currently I am using THREE browsers: Chrome for web browsing, 'cz it is fast and relatively reliable (does not crash), Firefox that I avoid 'cz it is a memory hog and it is slow, and Brave when I believe (naively) that it is best for "privacy protection" (I may be totally wrong), and I use it for accessing my protonmail email account.
Anyway, I "trust' the Brave browser, and I assume(d) it was always acting as a reliable protector of its users in all respects. WRONG ! Though I do not know of ALL the nefarious behaviors of Brave, I accidentally discovered some its weaknesses:
Look for the greaselion folder, 220K files, many files are "languages files" (53 languages if I remember well), though my declared language is "English".
220K files are a "burden" (I mean slows down) for the file system manager.
Brave does not automatically clean up unneeded files, but the user can can do it if the user knows how ....
So, Brave Software, Inc. keeps incompetent developers on the pay roll?![Mr. Green ]()
