Portable Freeware Discussion • Re: Ad Hoc (Assembled) Offices

At work we have used MemPad for the editing of larger texts.
Inspired by the good results, an old geezer created a complete office suite based on MemPad - But that contains software that are only for intra-office use.
So I created my own version, targeted at writers.
A handful of co-workers liked my collection so much that they began using it - So I made a help-file and a zipped distribution file. And later a website.

TxT office (v. 0.2NE.1 Release 3 - 20240517) fits 27 programs in 15 MB (uncompressed), and can create/open/edit files in text; HTML; XLS; ODT format - all programs are portable freeware and are integrated for easy data-sharing. The suite also contains calendars and specialized clocks, and a handful of household (PC Maintenance ) programs.

There is a distributable version just for writers (No spreadsheet or household programs):

Mini-Pad (v. 2.1 release 1) fits MemPad; 2 text-editors; a table editor; an HTML editor; a converter that takes output from MemPad and converts it into HTML - into a 1,6 MB ZIP file. (But the working parts fits into a 1MB uncompressed folder)

Further info can be found on https://txt-office.neocities.org
Be sure to check the Imgur albums with screenshots of the system in use.
