Some additional third-party plugins for AkelPad:
FileDialog - advanced file open dialog.
SpellCheck - updated fork of the old plugin, but on Hunspell engine, not Aspell, so you don't need install anything.
TabBar - close buttons on tabs, highlight of active tab, switch tabs by mouse wheel etc.
Also don't forget that "official" plugins are updated pretty frequently, currently there are few main plugins updated after release of the version 4.9.9.
