Old topic update: as reported by Ennovy, Aignes.com AM-Notebook (https://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=44) has gone fully freeware with v7.0 released 2024-02-05 (changes at https://www.aignes.com/note_history.htm).

AM-Notebook latest version installer can be downloaded from https://www.aignes.info/download/notesetup.exe; upon running it'll offer the option to "Install as portable application onto your USB stick" that allows you to choose any folder (just donnot let that be its default '%ProgramFiles(x86)%' location).
