Sorry for such a late answer but somehow the matter totally slipped my mind. But upon rechecking, I'm happy to confirm that everything is as you said (I had in fact the old v7.5).When I go to Settings/About it says: True Launch Bar v8.0 (64bit) FREE
So FTR, True Launch Bar v8.0 released 2022-12-01 is completely freeware (full changelog at https://www.truelaunchbar.com/history.html).
Future of True Launch Bar
I’ll continue development of True Launch Bar but not so active. I will try to fix bugs shortly and maybe will add some new features. Also I consider the ability to open True Launch Br sources.
